You have to wonder and be constantly amazed over the double standards and just whose agenda and whose interests are being served by the political class on both sides in the US over Donald Trump’s decision to withdraw from Syria.
Is it the people or is it the interests of the defence industry lobbyists?
I think we know the answer to that.
Listening to radio overnight and in the context of the national interest they express deep concern and anxiety bordering on hysteria over the Syrian withdrawal thousand of miles and half a world away but don’t express similar anxiety, deep interest or concern for the domestic interest in the context of the funding and building of the wall on the US/Mexican border, right on their own doorstep.
The Syrian venture costs something like $25 billion each year. The wall would cost $50 billion as a one off piece of infrastructure.
