Can anyone explain what’s going on between the Andrews Government, the CFA and the Fireys Union?
On the one hand we’re reading about 60,000 volunteers who, one would have thought by the very nature of volunteering, wouldn’t be getting paid but then in that same context I’m reading about an enterprise bargaining agreement which would indicate that there is some degree of a typical paid employer/employee relationship.
What’s going on? How do these two things reconcile and square off?
