Random Note #195,732

“If you tell a lie big enough and keep repeating it, people will eventually come to believe it.”
Joseph Goebbels.

Goebbels philosophy would seem to be the guiding principle underlying the Russian hacking hysteria as well as a host of other issues like climate catastrophism.

What we’re witnessing with all the talk and chatter about Russia hacking the US election is the ultimate in fake news. Fake news talked up like a Goebbels’s lie until the momentum makes the fake, real.

In other words talk it up and make the lie (in this case the fake news) big enough and absurd enough that it must be true, and repeat often enough and, voila. There you have it.

The losers, not prepared to acknowledge they had a dud candidate that didn’t connect with middle America, first of all talk up every “ist” “ism” phobe and identity niche known to man/woman/whatever, as the reason for the failure.
That tactic didn’t work.

They then, without any names or evidence (and admit as much) create the the Russian hacking meme and talk it up.

As it builds momentum, and that is what the exercise is about, building momentum, the media join in until the entire scam becomes self perpetuating. It’s about undermining and delegitimising Trump’s win.
This is going nowhere. It is the ultimate. The sine quo non in fake news. The ultimate self licking icecream and magic pudding.
