Nothing better underscores the politics and fear mongering of climate rather than the solutions of climate, than the resistance to nuclear energy. It’s the tell as to what it’s all about.
The cynical manipulation and resistance to nuclear by Labor and the Greens is designed purely to keep climate alive as a political football.
If climate really is the existential threat the catastrophists say it is, then for the conservative forces, nuclear is one of those “right side of history”, debates and one of those “hills worth dying on” that is there for the taking.
It is a no brainer.
Unfortunately though, in their determination to once again snatch defeat from the jaws of victory, nothing better underscores the Liberals, pusillanimous policy timidity and lack of big picture purpose and courage, than their absence of a nuclear strategy.
By not being prepared to engage, take it up to the left, prosecute the case and walk way a winner as Keating did over superannuation for example in 1992 or Ben Chifley with the Snowy River Scheme in 1949, both Labor initiatives by the way, the Libs are not worth a cracker. (or a vote)
