Cutting through all the bullshit over energy, the future looks grim.
Gas is already banned in all new homes in Victoria and the Sydney City Council has banned gas appliances in all new residential developments, effective from January next year.
This makes them the seventh council in NSW to ban gas and means new homes in the SSC area will be all-electric, including cooktops, ovens, and heating systems.
The ban also extends to new office and hotel developments from January 2027.
Overtime this will become a statewide policy of the left.

But watch. They’re to dumb, stupid and risk averse to run with it.
With the blind pursuit of net zero and renewables, the banning of gas can only have the effect of putting even more pressure on a delivery system held hostage to renewable ideology.
Electricity will be spotty in terms of supply, reliability, availability and affordability and even more expensive than today and what it was yesterday.
Yet we are supposed to accept that this deprivation is “progressive and a new way of imagining energy” and that by wearing a medieval hair shirt of penance and indulging in the religious ritual of self flagellation for our sins, we are saving the planet from a totally imaginary malady.
Because it is limited and dependent on the vagaries of the weather and as the population continues to spiral inexorably up, the myth of sustainable energy which is already unsustainable, will become even more so
