When you consider the Prime Minister (any Prime Minister) through the lens of the idea that by that position he/she is “the father of the nation” it implies that as “a father” he’s a safe pair of hands and has the safety and the best interests of the citizens as his chief obligation.
Under the same analogy, you would consider the party of government as the co-parent with the Prime Minister with the same obligations.
𝐁𝐮𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐏𝐫𝐢𝐦𝐞 𝐌𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐲 𝐨𝐟 𝐠𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐡𝐚𝐬 𝐛𝐞𝐞𝐧 𝐤𝐧𝐨𝐰𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐥𝐲 𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐥𝐢𝐜𝐭 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐥𝐢𝐜𝐢𝐭, 𝐜𝐚𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐩𝐞𝐨𝐩𝐥𝐞 𝐰𝐡𝐨 𝐦𝐞𝐚𝐧 𝐮𝐬 𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐦 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐭𝐨𝐨 𝐚𝐟𝐫𝐚𝐢𝐝 𝐭𝐨 𝐜𝐚𝐥𝐥 𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐞𝐪𝐮𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐢𝐫 𝐫𝐡𝐞𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐢𝐜.
If we were attacked kinetically, from the air, think Darwin in WW2, the response would be immediate.
But because the Islamist attack is under the radar and in the form of an insidious and creeping, Antonio Gramsci style “long march” or a demographic jihad as it were and is linked to immigration, citizenship then out breeding and domestic politics, the response has been tentative and ambivalent.

Through that singular lack of action for the last two years plus, he has wilfully and deliberately made Australia unsafe for a perceived political benefit and advantage.
In medieval times Australia was “down there”, it was known at various times as Terra Australis (southern land), Terra Incognita (unknown southland) and the antipodes,
But since settlement, one of the appeals of Australia has always been that it was a safe, decent, reliable and resilient place.
That reputation for safety was destroyed last Sunday at Bondi.
Polling aside, Albanese must be removed as Prime Minister at the first opportunity by the party room in 2026.
