Surely it’s not before time that the media called out the entire notion of Palestine and therefore Palestinians and let the historical chronology of events speak.

The etymology of the word, Palestine, was derived by the Romans from the Latin for Philistine.

The Philistines were the mortal and defeated  enemy of the Jews in 1000BC. The Philistines (think, David and Goliath) originated from the Aegean islands and as a people have been lost to history, absorbed by the Babylonians after their defeat by them in 700AD.

The rebadging and branding of Judea as Palestine was a very early form of psy-ops and gaslighting by the Romans in 135AD to specifically afford the Philistines a posthumous victory and rub salt into the wound of the Jews after their defeat at the hands of the Romans.

In essence the tactic was to break the psychological nexus between the Jews and their land, Judea and over time, obliterate any memory, link or connection.

To in effect, “de-Judaise” the region or what we would refer today as an exercise in regional ethnic cleansing.
