Albanese, Wong and Burke, with their insincere, mealy mouthed weasel words over the last two years, by failing to act on antisemitism and for the sake of political expediency, have trashed and sacrificed Australia’s reputation as a safe place, a place of fundamental decency, a place of optimism and hope, with a solid reputation, values and traditions built up over 250 years, on the altar of, and an appeal to, the narrow sectarian politics of identity and religion.
They’ve treated it as just another domestic problem from which to milk political advantage, to be guided, managed and balanced while not understanding the volatility and the fundamental nature of the problem that they were fostering.
