So now, because this will all be finally put to bed next week, the Democrats are moving on to the next phase of their jihad, insurgency and guerrilla war by framing the impeachment as a sham trial and the inevitable result as illegitimate.
Keep that word, illegitimate, in mind because you’re going to be hearing a lot more of it, along with the legal metaphor and doctrine, “The Fruit Of The Poisoned Tree”.
In an election year the tactic is to therefore colour and characterise Donald Trump and anything he does as illegitimate, including the prospect of him appointing a further Supreme Court justice and THAT is the main game in all of this. Thats the main prize
The election commercial script writes itself.
From the very beginning the entire process of impeachment has itself, been illegitimate because the process of impeachment is set in motion by a joint vote on the floor of the house. This was never done. In this case and for the first time ever it was a simple, capricious and unilateral decision by fiat of the speaker of the house to set the wheels of impeachment rolling.
It was never voted on by the house as has happened in the two previous impeachment instances: Andrew Johnson in 1868 and Bill Clinton in 1998.
So from the very beginning it lacked any legitimacy, credibility or authority.
Apart from it’s lack of legitimacy, the Democrats selectively forget their own original sham and illegitimate impeachment in the house. It was the Democrats who decided, based on the facts presented in the house, that they had an open and shut case. Trump was impeached based on the facts.
Ok, but a strange thing happened on the way to the senate. In the senate they then declared that they needed more facts and more witnesses facts and witnesses they could have called for when they had control of the process.
So if they needed more facts and witnesses, Trump wasn’t really impeached on the facts at all.
His impeachment and the process in fact, was what was, illegitimate.
The entire impeachment process, just like Russia collusion, was a hoax from beginning to end and facts aside, neither of the two articles of impeachment, abuse of power and obstruction were impeachable. They were both made up and don’t constitute bribery, treason or any high crimes and misdemeanours.
As to obstruction for example, the Democrat controlled house issued subpoenas and Trump, as was his right, went to the courts and the Democrats, knowing they were going to lose, withdrew their subpoenas. Trump was simply exercising his right as a citizen and his right as president to exercise executive privilege.
The abuse of power ruse was because they disagreed with his foreign policy. A policy the president alone gets to decide.
In short the Democrats got too far ahead of themselves and crashed and burned.
You can’t impeach someone on a difference of opinion or exercising their rights.
During the impeachment process the Democrats would not allow Trump or his lawyers to represent themselves, they would not allow Trump any witnesses, they would not allow Trump’s lawyers to submit evidence and they wouldn’t allow Trump’s lawyers to cross examine the Democrat witnesses.
In anyone’s language that is a star chamber. That is a kangaroo court. That is an illegitimate process.
And worse, they would not allow Trump to confront, see or even know the name of his deep state accuser, the phony CIA plant, inside the White House. At least not in public and although his name is well known and all across the internet and social media, the mainstream media still refuses to mention it. Facebook definitely takes down any reference to him and I imagine Twitter would do likewise
Allowing you to know who your accuser is, is a Magna Carta 101 fundamental and a fundamental of jurisprudence and due proccess.
To this day, Adam Schiff will not release the testimony of the 18th witness, the Inspector General of Intelligence because his evidence blows Schiff’s and the Democrat’s narrative to smithereens.
How do we know this? Because if it supported his case he would have made certain it was released.
This wasn’t so much an impeachment and like the Russia collusion hoax, the Ukraine hoax was nothing less than an attempted coup.
Trumps first impeachable offence was to win the 2016 election. His second was to be on track for a landslide victory in 2020.
