This is just rubbish. So this is climate modelling. We’ve had this modelling and similar warnings since the 1970s and the doomsday date or year rolls around and it always ends in a whimper not the predicted bang.

We’ve become jaundiced, cynical, apprehensive and deeply suspicious.

In reality they have no idea. And to be so specific. 2061, (so far out as to be totally irrelevant and why 61 and not 60 or 65) 𝐈𝐅 temp increased by 3 degrees, 2.7 million days of work, $600 billon hit to property etc.

People aren’t concerned with 2061, they’re concerned about their electricity bill due this Friday…

As for “𝐩𝐫𝐢𝐝𝐞 𝐢𝐧 𝐢𝐭𝐬 𝐥𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐥 𝐨𝐟 𝐚𝐦𝐛𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧” This is about his 𝐩𝐫𝐢𝐝𝐞, his 𝐞𝐠𝐨, his 𝐚𝐦𝐛𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 and his place in history

The report by the Australian Climate Service included warnings of a more than 400 per cent increase in heat-related mortality in Sydney if temperatures increased by 3C above pre-industrial levels, up to 2.7 million days of work being lost by 2061 because of heatwaves, a loss of ecosystems, a $600bn hit to property values by 2050, a $40bn-a-year cost for natural disaster recovery, and flooding risks to areas inhabited by more than 1.5 million Australians.

The report also warned of lower productivity and “cascading shocks” to the financial sector caused by disruptions in supply chains, asset writedowns and loan defaults “with potential ripple effects for households and businesses by reducing access to finance, the value of investments or superannuation…”
