It is impossible not to see the similarities and draw parallels  between what’s going with the chaos unravelling in Afghanistan and the broader geopolitical ramifications with thousands of Americans held hostage behind enemy lines by the Taliban and the similar experience of thousands of Americans and entire cities, held hostage ‘behind enemy lines’ to the BLM, Antifa inspired and orchestrated, Democrat supported and sponsored (even by the Vice President) chaos, looting, burning, murder and mayhem in American cities  last summer.

What was sleepy Seattle’s CHAZ, (Capitol Hill Autonomous Zone) in 2020 is now Kabul in 2021 and American citizens are again the hostages. This time to the TaliBiden.

The guiding principles and the common thread running through all of this being the Democrat state governors and Democrat city mayors then and the Democrat President now, are a Baghdad Bob, move along, nothing to see here, mainly peaceful, ‘burn baby burn’, incuriousness, incompetence and reckless indifference.

American’s  can’t say they weren’t warned and what was at risk with Biden with Obama’s Secretary of Defence Robert Gates reflecting, that Joe Biden had “..been wrong on nearly every major foreign policy and national security issue over the past four decades..” Obama himself said “..Don’t underestimate Joe’s ability to f… things up..”

Interesting too how the deep state bureaucratic operatives and generals at the Pentagon would slow walk and undermine Trump at every turn and suggested they would  openly defy orders from Trump, if he were to order military on to the streets last summer to quell the riots.

Where were these very same generals with their defiance and slow walking when Biden was barking his orders like Hitler in his final days in the Führerbunker?

Buyers remorse, America? Sorry too late. You own it but unfortunately the rest of the world will wear it for decades to come.

As Churchill said in another context, Kabul is not the end. It is not even the beginning of the end. But it is, perhaps, the end of the beginning.

The Taliban, China and Iran understood that, at least with Trump he operated under the Machiavellian maxim that: ‘It is better to be feared than loved, if you cannot be both’
